EKG

The EKG (electrocardiogram) is a non-invasive test that records the electrical activity in a dog’s heart and does not require sedation or anesthesia. It is a test performed by attaching small contact electrodes to the limbs and chest. Our skilled staff at The Stock Doc uses these tests to diagnose abnormal heart rhythms, heart enlargement, or drug effects on the heart. The EKG can be used with a stethoscope exam, chest x-ray, echocardiogram, and ultrasound.
