Meet the friendly staff at The Stock Doc!
Dr. Miranda Townsend joined the team at the Stock Doc veterinary clinic in July of 2006. Dr. Townsend is the daughter of Milton and Donna Daniels of Riverton and a native of Fremont County. She grew up on the family's dairy farm north of Riverton and graduated from Shoshoni High School in 1992.
During high school, she was very active in the 4-H and FFA programs. Following high school, she attained a Veterinary Technician degree from the University of Nebraska. She then went on to the University of Wyoming to earn a Bachelor's degree in Natural Science and Mathematics and a Master's degree in Animal Science emphasizing ruminant nutrition. In May of 2005, Dr. Townsend graduated from Colorado State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation, she did an intership in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery at Colorado State. The internship provided specialized training with dairy and beef cattle, small ruminants, swine and camelids (llamas and alpacas). Dr. Townsend is pleased to be a part of the Stock Doc health care team. Her professional interests include acupuncture, small animal surgery, especially orthopaedics, and livestock medicine and surgery. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her two boys, likes to ride horses and enjoys the outdoors.
